The Historical Works, of humans in the
Australian continent, Part Seven:
After World War 2, was over, Anglo-Australians(Australians of British descent) viewed themselves as less British than before the war.
Also after World War 2, America, France and Britain, would occupy western Germany. It was planned to be made into a democratic nation. America also occupied southern Korea and Japan, which were planned to be made under democratic governments, with Australia forces helping to occupy Japan to some degree. The Soviet Union, that was made up of Slavic(Eastern European) regions, including Russia. As well as to a far lesser scale, northern Muslim regions. It had captured and was occupying eastern Germany, including the German city of Berlin, in eastern Germany. However, the Soviet Union had agreed with the other occupying nations, before the capture. That the Soviet Union would have control of half the city and the other nations, would have the other half.
The Soviet Union had also captured, Poland and Czechoslovakia, off Germany, in World War 2. The Soviet Union also captured the German allied Hungry and Romania. Which was all put under its occupation. Northern Korea captured by the Soviet Union, was also put under occupation. The Soviet Union planed for the occupied territory to be made into nations they had some degree of control over once the occupation ended. With them also being forced into communism. The Soviet Union also didn’t plan for them to have democratic elections, so they could be under governments, that want communism.
How immoral and how powerful Soviet Union was, made Australians fear a communist takeover. Communism, was the economic and political system, embraced by the Soviet Union. A system in which all land was publicly owned and economy was run by the government, or governments. The most important element was that all money was made to be shared equally, no matter the job.
Communism was viewed so negatively by Australians, due to it going against what they believed to be freedom, as well as believing it was bad for the economy.
Australia, was a capitalist nation, just as most of the world, which meant people could own companies, through starting one, or inheritance. The companies could be as big as the company owner could make them. Capitalism also meant that companies were mostly in control of the economy, such as companies not having heavy government regulation.
Also after World War 2, immigration started to increase due to increased mainly due to immigration from Greece and Italy. One of the reasons the Australian government started to accept more immigrants was to make Australia more powerful by an increased population and therefore make Australia more able to defend itself from invasion.
In 1946, Australia's minor ally America, gave Greece and Turkey military supplies and so forth to, to take on communist and the threat of so, which was meant to stop the spread of communism. This was an act an of the Cold War, between America and the Soviet Union. The cold war at the time, was not an actual war, but a rivalry between the nations, largely based around communist and capitalist beliefs. Soon Australia's major ally of Britain entered the Cold War on the side of America.
By 1947, the overall non-Aboriginal Australians population of Australia had decreased to 5% of the population seemingly due to increased technology.
In 1947, in part due to the threat of rebellion, Britain would set free its colony of India, creating the nation of India, as well as Pakistan, with what is now Bangladesh becoming a part of Pakistan. This would be a blow to British power. Australians, or at least Anglo-Australians, may have still embraced British identify, with Britian also being a major ally of Australia.
In 1949, the Australian rabbit population had grown to 150 million in Queensland alone. The rabbit which population had once been released into the wild and grown through breeding, had grown due to men becoming soldiers instead of hunting rabbits and in some cases maintaining anti-rabbit fences. Rabbits would be targets for Australian hunters. The rabbits would eat plants, eaten by Australian marsupials, which would be bad for the marsupials. There was so many rabbits that they were damaging farms by eating their vegetation.
In August, of 1949, in the Chinese civil war. The communist Chinese nation of Communist China took over the capitalist Chinese nation of Nationalist China, besides the large island of Taiwan. This takeover spread communism, which was a victory for the Soviet Union in the Cold War.
Also in August of 1949, the Soviet Union tested a nuclear bomb they built. Showing they had a nuclear bomb, just like America. This opened the idea of a possible nuclear war, between America Britain and the Soviet Union, in the form of World War 3.
In December of 1949, the Liberal Party with Robert Menzies as the prime minister was elected into national power.
In 1949, America had made southern Korea, it occupied and made it into the nation of South Korea. Which was made into a capitalist nation, under a democratic government. However, soon the president of South Korea, would make it a dictatorship, unofficially under him. South Korea was also made into a alliance and trade agreement, with America. Some would say this was meant to function with South Korea being a nation America had some control over.
In 1949, the Soviet Union ended its occupation of northern Korea and made it into the nation, of North Korea. Also in 1949, America, with Britain and France, ended the occupation of western Germany and West Berlin. With it being made into the capitalist nation of west Germany.
Australians by the 1950s, had become less sexist and racist.
The stolen generation, mentioned in part 3 of the historical works was still in effect by the Australian under the Liberal Party and prime minister Robert Menzies, which was a program where half black and half white children and teenagers, from Aboriginal tribes, off their families and tribes. They were sent to other white foster parents, or a sort of orphanage.
In 1950, Australia under the Liberal Party and prime minister Robert Menzies released the anti-rabbit disease mxyxomatosis.
In 1950 North Korea, invaded the capitalist and American trade partner and official ally, South Korea. Then captured most of it. If North Korea conquered South Korea, it would spread communism. In June, America sent American military forces to try and re-capture it, along with South Korean forces.
Due to Australia's fear of communism, their minor alliance with America and a desire to increase the alliance between America and Australia, Australia under Robert Menzies, sent some degree of naval and air forces and many army forces to fight North Korea in the war called the Korean War. Many of the army forces were supplied by Australians volunteering just for the war, at least some of which joined because they were too young to do their part in World War 2. These army forces would fight North Korean forces. Shortly after America and Australia joined the South Koreans, which started capturing much territory off North Korea. In a single battle, Australian forces captured 250 North Korean soldiers.
By October all of South Korea and most of North Korea was captured. Fearing an invasion Communist China sent army forces to help the North Korea, which started to help North Korea recapture much territory. By 1951, they had captured North Korea and some of South Korea.
Also in 1950, there was a rebellion in Malaya(now located in Malaysia) to make Malya both a communist nation and a nation that Britian didn't have some control over, so that year to stop the spread of communism and to help Australia's ally Britain, Australia under Robert Menzies sent air forces to help fight the rebels. This rebellion was called the Malayan Emergency.
In April of 1951, in the Battle of Kapyong Australian army forces made up of 700 soldiers defeated 10,000 Chinese soldiers.
In April of 1952, America ended the occupation of Japan, which Australian help, making Japan under a democratic and capitalist government.
Also in 1952, Queen Elizabeth the 2nd became Queen of Britain. Through the governor general representing the British monarch this made her the indirect Queen of Australia.
Also in 1952 , the Australian rabbit population started to decrease and would go on to decrease, due to thr anti-rabbit decrease mxyxomatosis.
In July of 1953, an armistice, or unofficial end to the fighting, was signed in the Korean War, which ended the fighting. By then the territory was basically the same as before the war. During the war each army soldier was sent to Korea for about a year each, with over 300 soldiers killed and 17,000 soldiers sent to Korea.
In the war 100,000s of North Korean civilians, including teenage and child ones, were killed by bombs, by airstrike crossfire, by Australia's wartime ally America. Newspapers in war do not usually reveal civilian harm committed by their side.
Also in 1954, the population of Australia, not including a small amount of Aboriginals was around 9,000,000.
In 1955, in the Malayan Emergency some army forces were sent to do scout missions against communist rebels.
Also in 1955, Australia under the Liberal Party and prime minister Robert Menzies, allowed their ally Britain to start dropping nuclear bombs on the desserts of the Australian state of South Australia, to see if such bombs worked, with Britain also giving a money to Australia in return. This bomb testing was done near aboriginal tribes, with such tests gave aboriginals an increased risk of diseases with them often being displaced from such areas shortly after the tests.
In 1956, the Olympic games would be hosted in the Australian city of Sydney. The Television was first introduced to Australia of that year.
In 1956, Egypt took influence of the Egyptian region the trade route the Suez Canal, off the Australian ally Britain. So Britain invaded Egypt and captured the Suez Canal. So the Soviet Union threatened to use nuclear weapons, if Britain didn’t retreat, which they then did. Also in 1956, Britain lost their remaining control over Sudan.
By 1960, the earnings of Australians per person had increased a lot since the start of the 1950s.
In 1960, the communist rebellion had weakened in the Malayan Emergency, so by August less than 1,000 soldiers remained in Mayala. By then over Australian 6,000 soldiers had fought in the Malayan Emergency, by then over 30 Australian soldiers had been killed.

Australia just like America feared the domino theory, which was the belief that if South Vietnam became communist, many other Asian nations. Australia would send military advisors to help the South Vietnamese military, in part because America also had advisors there.
By 1963, North Vietnam which was communist sent soldiers fighting in South Vietnam, this would seem to increase the chances of South Vietnam becoming communist.
